Develop the skills and knowledge to become a capable and dynamic Pilates instructor.
We offer our students the highest standards for their future success in the industry.

(Includes 60 minute class  with Cara)
Participation: 40 scheduled classes at the Chelsea Live Life Well studio or Daily Dose Studio Balaclava
Observation: 8 classes

$3300 inc GST

(Payment plan option available with a maximum of 6 month duration

$500 admin fee will apply

COURSE UNITS

Coaching and Instruction (Group Exercise)
- Plan a session or program for participants
- Develop basic Pilates programs
- Conduct a Pilates session for participants
- Plan and Instruct a group Pilates class
- Customise instructional skills to include specific areas of expertise current in the Pilates industry
- Deliver an approved community Pilates program to promote wellbeing

Personal/ Private Pilates Class
- Plan and deliver personal Pilates program
- Plan and prepare an individualised long-term Pilates program
- Conduct, monitor and adjust individualised long-term Pilates programs

Exercise Programming
- Apply exercise science to Pilates instruction
- Develop and apply awareness of specific populations to Pilates delivery
- Provide advice to clients on the application of anatomy and physiology to Pilates
- Undertake relevant Pilates planning and programming
- Utilise a broad knowledge of exercise science in Pilates planning, programming and instruction

Special Populations
- Provide Pilates for clients with special requirements
- Plan and deliver Pilates for children and young adolescents
- Plan and deliver Pilates for older adults

Equipment Use and facility maintenance
- Use and maintain core Pilates equipment
- Instruct yoga activity skills to clients using Pilates equipment
- Utilise a broad knowledge of Pilates equipment

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
- Undertake risk analysis
- Follow OHS policies and procedures
- Implement and monitor the organisations OHS policies, procedures and programs Screening
- Provide orientation to clients prior to undertaking a pilates 
program
- Undertake client induction and screening
- Undertake postural appraisal of low risk clients and the Law
- Apply pilates law
- Promote compliance with the laws and legal principles

Business Skills
- Address clients needs
- Co-ordinate client service activities
- Co-ordinate and conduct projects
- Analyse participation patterns in specific markets of the pilates industry

Teams
- Provide leadership to groups
- Facilitate a group
- Utilise and understand motivational psychology with pilates clients
- Provide information and pilates related to nutrition and body composition
- Provide nutrition advice to clients
